Ufo crash site from which grew a futuristic city in Poland ;) The hall named "spodek" began to grow out of the shipwreck in 1964. It is one of the first tensegrity roofed structures in the world. The steel structure of the dome, weighing 300 tons, is connected to the outer steel ring by means of 120 lifting ropes in the form of rod-tension trusses, on which the roofing is mounted. Next to the facility, in 2011-2015, the International Congress Center in Katowice was built, the largest congress center in Poland. The tallest office building KTW II was build in 2019-2021. The city of Katowice is developing dynamically to this day.
